TORRE DE MARFIM

Nathália, Nelma, Raquel e Matheus. Quatro estudantes da Universidade de Brasília sentados na área externa do Instituto de Ciências Sociais, encarando a paisagem natural e construída que habita seu entorno. Entre eles se destaca uma torre, lugar onde uma aluna da graduação cometeu suicídio em 2018. Vivências acadêmicas demandam mais do que qualquer silêncio compulsório como resolução dos nós cotidianos.
TORRE DE MARFIM
Entre espaços vazios,
O próprio vazio em CONCRETO.
Entre espaços cheios,
pessoas que se veem vazias.
O desencontro é SÓLIDO.
O contraste é RÍGIDO.
Prisioneiros da Instituição,
viajantes na ILUSÃO.
E entre uma profusão de sentimentos,
também o não sentir.
E quem imaginaria ter de conviver
com sua ausência?
Mas há sempre uma história.
Algo que pode ser contado.
Nem que seja o fragmento
de um dia,
de uma palavra.
Completa ou mal pronunciada.
E se há algo que gira em nós e depois se propaga.
Quem sabe não vira também estrada?
Caminho e morada.
IVORY TOWER
Between empty spaces,
The void itself in CONCRETE.
Between full spaces,
people who see themselves empty.
The mismatch is SOLID.
The contrast is HARD.
Prisoners of the Institution,
travelers on illusion.
And among a profusion of feelings,
there is also the not feeling.
And who would imagine having to live
with its absence?
But there is always a story.
Something that can be told.
Even if it is the fragment
of a day,
of a complete word
or a mispronounced one.
And if there is something that spins in us and then propagates,
maybe it doesn’t turn into a road too?
Way and home.
